Thatcham Town Council is proud to announce the installation of a new communications board in Turnfields Play Area designed to help children who experience difficulty with verbal communication, including those with Autism.

The colourful, easy-to-use board allows children to express themselves by pointing to symbols and images specifically selected for playground settings. This inclusive initiative aims to ensure that every child can fully participate, share their thoughts, and enjoy their time at the park.

The board is now available for use and is part of the Town Council’s ongoing efforts to enhance accessibility across the community’s public spaces.
