As part of the Town Council’s environmental actions, and to support our community, we’ve invested in a thermal image camera that residents and organisations can loan, free of charge, to capture valuable data about hot and cold spots of their home or workplace.
Thatcham Town Council has installed new football goal posts at Kennet Heath Open Space. Requested by the West Berkshire Youth Council, this exciting development is part of the Town Council’s ongoing commitment to offering free and low-cost recreational facilities to Thatcham’s young people.
Thatcham Town Council is proud to announce its recent recognition as a Bronze "Bog Standard" town following the installation of male incontinence bins in the Broadway, Frank Hutchings Community Hall, Burdwood Community Hall, and Town Council public toilet cubicles.
Berkshire Afrofest successfully brought together the diverse communities of Berkshire on The Moors in Thatcham on Saturday 10th August 2024. Conceived by Avila, an African fusion restaurant and catering business based in Reading, Afrofest was designed to give back to the local community.
KidsFest Thatcham is aimed at bringing families and the community together for a day of entertainment, activities, and fun. Taking place in the town centre on Thursday 29th of August from 10am to 3pm we hope to provide Thatcham’s residents with a day packed full of fun before heading back to school.
On Saturday, July 20th, over 100 people, including the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Thatcham, attended a charity garden party hosted by Lin and Pete Congerton at their home. This event marked the 25th year of their fundraising efforts for local charities, during which they have raised more than £50,000
