Heritage Working Party – 20th January 2026
The Heritage Working Party will meet to cover the following items:

Plans for 2026 and beyond
An update will be given on the Blue Plaque consultation. The group will consider whether an extra meeting is needed to agree a shortlist for a public vote, and discuss possible community awards for nominees who are not selected. -
Millennium Monument
Members will receive an update on the wording for the monument inscriptions. -
Commemorative events (2026–2027)
The group will discuss ideas for future heritage or commemorative events. -
Heritage website and social media
An update will be provided on improving the Heritage section of the council website and plans to introduce social media activity. -
Twinning
Discussion on the current status of town twinning and how to raise awareness and community involvement.
