Thatcham Family Fun Day

Young visitors will be spoilt for choice with a vibrant selection of attractions, including the ever-popular funfair, mini golf, climbing wall, giant bubble maker, zorbing, and inflatables. Making its first appearance this year is the Under 5’s tent, brought to you by Toddle About Magazine, providing hands-on creative fun. Beloved entertainers such as Juggling Jake and the classic Punch and Judy show also make a welcome return.

The Eco Zone, sponsored by Weylands Volvo, offers a dedicated space for sustainable living. Highlights include a Vegan Street Market, interactive eco-activities, and a water refill station hosted by Eco Friends West Berkshire,

Back by popular demand, the Dog Show returns with categories for pups of all ages and personalities, including the popular Dog that looks most like its owner. The event is generously sponsored by Donnington Grove Small Animal Vets (weather permitting).

For young runners with energy to spare, the Fun Run—sponsored by Everyone Active—features age-based races and the popular Continuous Run, one of the highlights of the day’s activities.

The classic car show, delivered by the Rotary Club and sponsored by Xtrac, will once again showcase a stunning collection of over 150 vintage and classic vehicles.

Food lovers can look forward to a wide array of culinary delights, from local favourites to global street food. Adults can unwind with a craft beer from Delphic Brewing Company or a refreshing cocktail from Gee Gee Gin, accompanied by live acoustic performances from the brand-new Acoustic Tent, including an open-mic hour for aspiring musicians.

Hosted by Kennet Radio, the Dance Zone will shine a spotlight on local talent with vibrant performances from regional dance schools. Over on the Main Stage, expect an engaging line-up of live music, magic shows by Fred in the Shed, line dancing, appearances by local choirs and rock covers from the amazing Roadhouse.

In a celebration of inclusion and community, Newbury Pride returns to Thatcham’s Family Fun Day with joyful festivities and the much-loved Pride Parade, promising colour, celebration, and unity for all.

Attendees are encouraged to consider environmentally friendly travel options as the onsite car park fills up quickly. There are many buses serving Newbury and Thatcham.
