Treasury Management Plan
The TREASURY MANAGEMENT PLAN includes the Council’s plans across three specific areas. These are:
1 INVESTMENTS
This section sets out the council’s objectives and strategy for investing surplus funds.
2 GENERAL RESERVES POLICY
Thatcham Town Council is required to maintain adequate financial reserves to minimise possible financial impacts of emergencies, unforeseen events, in-year emerging issues etc.
The purpose of this policy is to set out how the Council will determine and review the level of its General Reserve. It does not include specific funds which have been earmarked for long-term projects.
3 BANKING AND INVESTMENT POLICY
This includes details of the council’s current banking & investment schemes.
