Thatcham Town Council is excited to offer Sports and Games Starpacks – a fantastic way to keep families active and entertained during school holidays and weekends. Packed with a variety of fun sports equipment, these bags are perfect for children and families to enjoy outdoor games and activities together. You can borrow the bags for 24hours at a time (or over the weekend).

Whether it’s a kickabout in the park, a family rounders match, or a mini sports day, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Click here to find your nearest Open Space in Thatcham.

What’s included?

6 x Borrow Bags, each include:

• 1 x Football
• 2 x Tennis Balls
• 8 x Markers
• 3 x Skipping Ropes
• 4 x Bean Bags
• 1x Flying Ring (frisbee)
• 1 x Cone
• 2 x Hoops

Sports Sets:

• 1 x Badminton Set (a net is available if required, subject to availability)
• 2 x Tennis Racquets (a net is available if required, subject to availability)
• 6 x Cricket and Rounders Set
• 2 x Football Goals

Lawn Games:

• 1 x Kubb
• 1 x Parachute
• 1 x Croquet Set

Bags and equipment can be collected from Thatcham Town Council offices. To borrow, simply bring proof of your Thatcham address and a £5 refundable cash deposit per item (1 bag is considered an item). Your deposit is returned when the equipment is brought back complete and in good condition. You can borrow the bags for 24hours at a time (or over the weekend if you collect on a Friday). Let us know if you need it for longer and we will see what we can do.
