Thatcham Town Council is proud to announce its recent recognition as a Bronze “Bog Standard” town following the installation of male incontinence bins in the Broadway, Frank Hutchings Community Hall, Burdwood Community Hall, and Town Council public toilet cubicles.

The Bog Standard Charter, developed by phs Group in partnership with Prostate Cancer UK, aims to ensure that men have access to appropriate disposal facilities for incontinence products. This important initiative enables men to dispose of waste discreetly and with dignity, reducing the shame, anxiety, and embarrassment often associated with incontinence.

By adding these bins to their facilities, the Town Council is further committing to improving public washroom facilities in Thatcham, ensuring dignity for all residents and visitors.
