Commonwealth Day is an annual celebration observed by people all over the Commonwealth in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Americas, the Pacific and Europe.

Commonwealth Day took place on Monday 11 March 2024, marking the beginning of a week-long series of events and activities happening around the globe – including faith and civic gatherings, debates, school assemblies, flag-raising ceremonies and cultural events.

The Mayor of Thatcham, Councillor Mark Lillycrop and Deputy Mayor of Thatcham, Councillor Suzanne Adamantos held a short ceremony outside of our offices this morning to honour the day and raise the Commonwealth Flag. You can watch the ceremony below:
