Celebrate the Year of the Snake at Thatcham’s Chinese New Year Market

Thatcham Town Council is excited to host its very first Chinese New Year Market in Thatcham Broadway on Sunday 2nd February from 10am – 4pm in celebration of the Year of the Snake.

Thatcham Town Council is excited to host its very first Chinese New Year Market in Thatcham Broadway on Sunday 2nd February from 10am – 4pm in celebration of the Year of the Snake.

Food lovers are in for a treat with more than 10 stalls serving the taste of Asia, including Japanese dumplings and bento boxes, authentic rice balls with flavourful fillings, delicious Thai dishes, Indonesian, Taiwanese, Hong Kong, Chinese Street Food and an array of stunning sweet treats and desserts.

Beyond the food, the market will showcase unique crafts, elegant jewellery, and handmade accessories, alongside home and beauty products created by Asian traders or inspired by the rich traditions of the Orient.

A highlight of the market is the traditional Lion Dance which brings good luck and drives away evil spirits which will be performed at 11am and 12.30pm, starting from outside Costa.
